November 2021 is here, the trees are shedding their leaves, it is getting colder and you get the feeling that the year is almost over. November is also the month when you can finally go to concerts and trade fairs again, and when the joy for Christmas begins slowly. We have 7 activities for you this November that you should not miss. You will easily find the places on our map further down on this page.
At the weekend, you can discover Berlin already dressed up for Christmas with a Hop On - Hop Off bus tour. From Friday to Monday, Stromma drive you to the Christmas markets and the main landmarks of the city. Easily get off at the bus stops to enjoy the city at your own pace.

The more than 50 year old festival is a meeting place for artists from several countries who make the capital dance along jazz. Stromma have two highlights for you when you are on the Hop On - Hop Off tour because you can get off at the stop 12, at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and enjoy two different concerts. First, you have the opportunity to hear the artist Nate Wooley play on November 5th at 8:00 p.m. or if you are a fan of organ music, you can enjoy the organ solo by the Norwegian jazz musician Ståle Storløkken at 3:00 p.m on November 7th. If you are interested in arts and crafts, natural goods and fair trade products from all over the world, then Messe Bazaar Berlin is perfect for you. At this fair, you have the opportunity to purchase clothing, textiles, Christmas decorations, gifts and other items directly from the producers.

When you are done at the jazz festival or prefer to enjoy French baroque music, you can attend the concerts during the baroque days in the Staatsoper, near the stop 4, Museum Island. This year, the Opera is presenting three highlights: the diverse piece “Indoméné” from André Campra. Christoph Willibald Glucks will also present his piece "Orfeo ed Euridice" and the third Oper wonder is the piece "Hippolyte et Arice" by Jean-Phillippe Rameaus. Already in November, you can look forward to the Christmas feeling during an evening walk through the illuminated park where you are welcomed with several light installations, playful illuminations on the water, Christmas delicacies and a festively decorated path to Schloss Friedrichsfelde, which is also colourfully illuminated. From November 19th, you can visit the Botanical Garden not only during the day but also in the evening because the park opens its doors to all fans of Christmas lights. Thousands of fairy lights and multi-coloured illuminations ensure that both adults and children can spend a Christmas evening.

Are you ready for the best time of year when the aromas of almonds, Advent bakeries and open fires make you happy after Christmas? Well, the Christmas markets will welcome you from November 22nd. You can visit the following Christmas markets along our Stromma Hop On - Hop Off tour: Christmas market at Breitscheidplatz (stop 12, Kurfürstendamm), Winter World at Potsdamer Platz (stop 16, Potsdamer Platz), Christmas market at Gendarmenmarkt (stop 19, Gendanmermarkt - € 1 entrance fee), Christmas market at the Rotes Rathaus (stop 3, Rotes Rathaus - Radisson Hotel).
