Sailing information
Are the boats covered when it rains?
We cannot guarantee covered boats, but we strive to adjust the boat type according to the weather conditions whenever possible. We offer all our guests on the open boats a free poncho should it rain.
Where do I find information about delayed or cancelled departures?
Information about delays or cancellations will be posted on our website whenever possible. You can also visit our ticket offices or call our Customer Service on tel. +45 3296 3000.
Do you do tours to Middelgrundsfortet?
No, we do not offer tours to Middelgrundsfortet or Flakfortet. We are only authorized to operate within the boundaries of Copenhagen harbor.
Do the live guided tours make any stops along the route?
No, the tour is non-stop. It begins and ends at the same location.
On board
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own drinks (but please remember to take any bottles or cans with you when you leave).
Can we take our dog with us on the tour?
Yes, dogs are allowed on our boats as long as they fit in a bag and are accustomed to being around other people.
Can we bring a buggy/stroller or pram?
Due to limited space on the boats, therefore it is not possible to bring buggies/strollers or prams on board. You are welcome to leave the buggy/stroller or pram at our departure points at Ved Stranden and Nyhavn, however this is at your own risk and we highly recommend that you bring a lock.
Can we bring a wheelchair on board?
Due to the interior layout of our boats we regretfully cannot permit access to Stromma’s boats for wheelchair users. Individuals will be turned away, regardless of whether they inquire in person, via mail or by phone. The only exception to this rule is for those wheelchair users whose wheelchairs can be folded and who – with or without the aid of a companion – can make their way onto the boats and sit in the regular seats. All others will be rejected. Foldable wheelchairs may only be brought on board the vehicles if the captain permits it based on an assessment of the space available.
How many passengers can fit in one boat?
Our open boats can carry up to 168 passengers while the covered boats can carry up to 150 passengers (of which 104 are under the roof).
Are there toilets on board?
No, we do not have toilet facilities on board the regular tour boats. There are public toilets near our ticket offices at Nyhavn and Ved Stranden.
Are there life vests on board?
Yes, we provide life vests for all passengers on board, including special vests for children. For more information please see safety on board.
Tickets and prices
Can HT's tickets/cards be used on the boats?
No, these tickets/cards are only for Movia/Arriva's yellow harbor buses.
At what age do children start paying the adult fare?
The adult fare applies to everyone from the age of 16 and above.
Can you pay with credit card in the ticket office?
Yes, we accept credit cards at our tickets offices and on the Hop On-Hop Off tours. We accept: Dankort, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, JCB, CUP, and American Express. We cover all transaction fees.
Can you pay with foreign currencies?
Yes, we accept the following currencies (only notes): Euro and American Dollars. Change will always be given be in Danish kroner.
I need a receipt - how do I get one?
We use the receipt as a ticket. The ticket is then checked upon boarding, but you can keep it for your records. Please note that the majority of our tours are VAT exempt.
Lost something?
Lost items can be recovered at our ticket office at Ved Stranden, or you can fill out our Lost & Found form.

Route information
Are the buses covered when it rains?
Our buses have either a regular or sliding roof which is open when the sun shines, but can be closed when it rains.
Where do I find information about delayed or cancelled departures?
For up-to-date information on how our services are running, please call +45 2255 6688. We will post updates on our website whenever possible.
Do you operate out of town excursions?
No, not at the moment.
Do the tours make any stops?
Our Copenhagen City Sightseeing buses and Hop On-Hop Off buses have a total of 30 stops across three different routes.
On board
Can we bring our own drinks?
On our Hop on-Hop off bus tours, you are welcome to bring your own drinks. However, this is not permitted on other bus tours.
Can we take our dog on the bus?
Yes, provided that the dog fits in a bag and is accustomed to being around other people. All dogs should accompany their handler on the top deck of the bus.
Can we bring a buggy/stroller or pram?
Our buses have limited luggage space that is also designated for wheelchair users. If there is space available, then we will allow a buggy/stroller or pram on board. Buggies/strollers and prams are carried at the discretion of the driver.
Can we bring a wheelchair on board?

How many passengers can be carried in one bus?
Up to 74 passengers.
Are there toilets on board?
We do not have toilet facilities on board our Hop On-Hop Off buses. There are toilet facilities available at the Little Mermaid – stop number 5 and the Marble Church – stop number 3.
Are there fire extinguishers on board?
There is a fire extinguisher located in the driver's cab.
Tickets and Prices
Can Movia tickets and cards be used on sightseeing buses?
No, Movia/Arriva tickets/cards are only valid for Movia buses.
At what age do children start paying the full adult fare?
Children aged 0-5 years old can travel free of charge.
Children from 6-15 travel at 50% the adult ticket price.
Individuals from 16 years of age and above must pay the full fare.
Can you pay with credit card?
Yes, our ticket sellers and drivers accept Dankort, VISA, VISA Electron, Mastercard, and Maestro. A 6% surcharge applies to non-Danish credit and payment cards.
Can you pay with foreign currencies?
Yes, we accept payment in Euros or American Dollars, but only in bills and not coins. Change will always be given be in Danish kroner.
I need a receipt – How do I get one?
Your ticket serves as your receipt when you pay with cash, payment card, or a credit card. If you use a voucher, you must obtain your receipt from the voucher issuer.
