HAM, or Helsinki Art Museum, manages Helsinki's own art collection, which consists of more than 9000 works. HAM presents modern and contemporary art in the Tennis Palace and in domestic and international exhibitions.
The Helsinki Art Museum also works the public art. In addition to its main location, it also exhibits almost 500 sculptures, environmental artworks and historical monuments scattered throughout the entire Helsinki area.
Visiting the HAM the Tennis Palace will get you a decidedly different museum experience. The museum is strongly involved in the everyday life of the Finnish citizens and strives to create new perspectives on life in Helsinki and beyond in dialogue with them. Finland's most popular and forward-thinking museum, HAM reaches out to new audiences and re-defines what an art museum can be.
