Kiasma is the main museum of contemporary art in Finland. The museum specializes in collecting and exhibiting contemporary Finnish art that is being produced right now and to use those pieces to delight, provoke, and imagine. The goal is to make contemporary art known to as big an audience as possible and to thereby provide new experiences and perspectives on life. Kiasma is part of the Finnish National Gallery. Other museums include are the Ateneum Art Museum and the Sinebrychoff Art Museum.
The museum is also a meeting place in several respects: a venue for debate and exchanging views, for meeting new people and old friends, and for creating new definitions of both art and culture in dialogue with each other. Kiasma even offers guided walks, workshops and activities for children.
