The gallery is housed in a villa and a former stable, surrounded by a lush sculpture garden. Located near the Royal Palace, visitors can enjoy a short, scenic walk through the palace gardens, just a fifteen-minute stroll from the harbour.
Sculptures and Paintings on Display
TBS Gallery showcases a wide array of works, including Skjølsvik's famous equestrian sculptures like Into the Future, depicting a horse and rider in bronze. Other highlights include sculptures of Norwegian kings Olav V and Harald VII, as well as statues of polar explorers Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen.
Exploring Norwegian Icons
In addition to sculptures, the gallery also features casts of iconic Norwegian figures such as Nobel Prize-winning author Knut Hamsun and playwright Henrik Ibsen.
