Five tips for visting Stockholm during winter

1. A stroll on the ice
During a cold winter, it is popular to walk on the ice on the southside of Södermalm and Kungsholmen. There is a path to follow and on a sunny day you will find many locals enjoying the view and the weather.

2. Skate at Kungsträdgården
If you are in the central area of Stockholm, potter down to Kungsträdgården where you will find a small ice skating rink. Underneath the fairy lights and with music streaming from the speakers you can skate hand in hand with someone special.

3. Discover Old Town
If you are a history buff a visit to Old Town is a must. Go on a guided tour or explore on our own. It is easy to see the charm of this neighborhood with its narrow alleys and century old houses. Here you will also find The Royal Palace, The Nobel Museum and The Stockholm Cathedral.

4. Coffee at Rosendal
Rosendals' Garden Foundation is a beautiful place to visit all year around. Even though the gardens might be covered in snow there is still the hothouses to visit. The café (also located in the hothouse) serves outstanding treats and is really worth a visit.

5. Hop on a boat
