Guide to Svartsö - the greenest island in the archipelago

About Svartsö

Svartsö is 8 km long and about 1 km wide. The island is inhabited all year, but in the summer the island enlivens when many people move here to their summer residences to spend vacation. Svartsö is one of the largest island in the archipelago and is located in the northern part of Värmdö archipelago.

To get around

Rent a bike if you want to explore the island during the day, bicycle rental is located in Alsvik. For hikers, there are plenty of hiking trails - stay here at least for one night if you want to see the whole island.
