At the bottom of this page you can find a map of where to find the activities!
Take the boat the island of Birka and learn all about Vikings! Don’t miss the guided tour, a visit to the museum, the Viking quarters and some real Viking food at Restaurant Särimner or Café Eldrimner.
On the 29th of August there is an Archelogy-themed day at Birka with a special guided tour and lots of children’s activities.
Tip – Pre-book your boat ticket to Birka to secure space onboard.
The end of summer is traditionally associated with crayfish in Sweden. If you want to give this classic delicacy a try we can highly recommend booking a table at Fjäderholmarna’s krog and selecting their special Crayfish menu. The menu consists of crayfish Skagen, traditional boiled crayfish with classic accompaniments such as Västerbotten cheese, sourdough bread, mayonnaise and cheese quiche. You can wash them down with the restaurants very own schnapps, or wine, beer or a non-alcoholic beverage.
Tip – To guarantee a table at Fjäderholmarna’s krog we recommend that you make a reservation in advance. You can take the boat to Fjäderholmarna directly from Strandvägen or Nacka Strand – prebook your ticket online for guaranteed space onboard.
During the summer and autumn you can visit the Swedish artist Rolf Hansson’s most extensive exhibition Retroactive at art museum Artipelag. The exhibition consists of a collection stretching over four decades. In the hall you can also hear music composed by musician Jonas Lindgren, inspired by the work of Rolf Hansson. At certain times you can also listen to a 20-minute introduction and during the weekends there is a family showing. You can grab something tasty from Bådan Café & Konditori – they serve both sandwiches, salads, soups, baked goods and drinks.
Tip – Take the boat to Artipelag from central Stockholm. Prebook tickets online for guaranteed space.
Bring your friends or family along for an unforgettable evening onboard M/S Mälarvictoria in the Stockholm archipelago. During the evening you will enjoy stunning views, a tasty dinner buffet filled with fresh flavours and live music. The boat will make a short stop at an archipelago island where you can get off to stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh sea air before heading back to Stockholm.
