M/S Angantyr (built in 1909) is one of our archipelago ships that was built at the beginning of the last century. Despite her modest size, she is an effective icebreaker so she can cruise even when the ice has settled. M/S Angantyr is suitable for parties between 20-80 people. Suitable arrangements on board are, for example, lunch, dinner, party, mingling, and transport in both the Stockholm archipelago and Lake Mälaren.
The interior is classic with dark wood and velvet curtains and furnishings in warm tones. On board, there is a small kiosk/bar and a spacious sun deck which is perfect for drinks and mingling.

M/S Angantyr - Food & Drink on Board
All food served on board is prepared by the chefs in M/S Angantyr's kitchen. Restaurateur Andreas Clemmedsson and Frida Bozzi runs the restaurant with the goal of always maintaining high quality in both food and service. The food is prepared with love from seasonal, carefully selected ingredients.
Together with our restaurateurs, Stromma works continuously to reduce our impact on the environment. In our restaurants, for example, we do not use single-use plastic, we only use environmentally friendly cleaning products, we only serve environmentally and fair-trade coffee and tea, etc. Please read more about our sustainability work.
M/S Angantyr is also available for rent for a traditional Christmas dinner, Christmas gathering or transport to the Christmas dinner - read more.
The History of M/S Angantyr
M/S Angantyr was built in 1909 at the Motala Mekaniska Verkstad to be used as a transport boat in Mälaren and the archipelago. During the years 1914-1955, she underwent several rebuilds, including building an upper deck where the wheelhouse was moved - to later remove the superstructure and raise the entire bow. She was motorized in 1955 and in 1978, M/S Angantyr was sold to Strömma Kanalbolaget. The ship was completely renovated, and the original sundeck was restored.
Did you know that M/S Angantyr is a sister ship to Fylgia and Valkyrian, currently named S/S Drottningholm?
