The warship Vasa sank on its first journey in Stockholm in 1628. After 333 years, the great warship was salvaged and the journey could continue. Today, Vasa is the world’s only preserved 17th century ship and the Vasa Museum is the most visited museum in Scandinavia.
Vasa is a real treasure chamber, here you can learn about the work at the ship yard and the life onboard. At the museum you can visit many different exhibitions, take guided tours and watch film screenings. The museum also has a restaurant and a gift shop.
