Junibacken – children’s culture house
Junibacken is a children's culture house in Djurgården in Stockholm where children and culture are in focus. Ride the Story Train, watch a show, play in the interactive exhibitions, see some of the best-loved characters in children’s literature, visit Sweden’s biggest kids’ bookshop and chill in the gardens. At Junibacken they use culture to inspire, get in touch with our emotions and get creative through singing, music, theatre and play. It’s all about joining in, whether you’re little or big.
Get on the Story Train and dive straight into the magical world between the pages of books. You’ll meet Madicken, Emil, Karlsson and the others. Experience one or more of today's performances. Junibacken is one of Sweden's largest children's theater producers and creates all the plays itself: from script to music, choreography and costume. Play in the exhibitions and at the same time greet at some of our most beloved children's book figures. Junibacken also has a fantastic garden and a lunch restaurant with outdoor seating next to the water.
Hop on hop off bus and boat – and entrance to Junibacken
To get to Junibacken you can hop off the boat at stop C, the Vasa Museum, or stop 10, the Vasa Museum, if you come by bus. The sightseeing tours are entertaining and informative with digitally recorded commentaries in 10 languages.

Hop On – Hop Off boat sightseeing tours start at the Royal Palace in Stockholm’s famous Old Town and passes must-see sights like the Vasa Museum, the amusement park Gröna Lund, and many more! We also stop at the cruise terminal Stadsgårdskajen.
