Welcome aboard a classic Paddan-boat for a two hour long sightseeing tour that takes you out from the city centre and through some of the lushest canals in Gothenburg. The tour starts by Kungsportsplatsen in central Gothenburg, glides through the moats and then veers off towards the magnificent harbour. Soon you’ll reach the outlet to the river Säveån and the journey through the “Amazonas of Gothenburg” begins.
Discover the river Säveån – unique atmosphere, flora and fauna
The atmosphere on the river is special, to say the least, with old wooden boats lining the edges and a rich nature with flora and fauna, some that is unique to the area. You might even spot a beaver amongst the willow trees reaching down to the water.
Live guided tour – rich in history and fascinating facts
The sightseeing tour is live guided in Swedish and English. It passes many historically significant places such as quays, shipyards and buildings that have played a big part in both Gothenburg’s and Sweden’s history. There are also plenty of charming spots like the boat club Estoniavarvet, with old wooden jetties and flourishing allotments along the water. On the way back the guide will be available to answer any questions you may have.
